Agata for The Irish Times
Just before beginning of october I shot an editorial for the Irish Times. The theme was “Ladylike” and we decided to shoot it on the streets of Dublin.
We started nice and early with hair and makeup in my little apartment in the city. Our lovely mua was Mary Ellen and the hair was done by Glen Cullen. Since we shot late autumn we decided we want the whole colour scheme to be mainly warm colours – so mainly browns, oranges and tans. To create the look Mary Ellen went with a dark berry Diva by MAC lipstick and also used warm brown shades on the eyes. For hair we decided to use curled extensions to make it look fuller but still very soft and natural.
As shooting location we went for Grafton street and the surrounding areas. The south side has a lovely warm tone to it so I thought it might compliment the styling nicely. We weren’t very fortunate with the weather, we had to hide from the rain and run out in-between the shots. But hey, it’s Ireland, there is so much you can expect!
Because of the Ladylike theme, Carmel went for amazing statement coats, hats and different accessories with elements of faux fur in them. Very lady- like indeed 😉
Of course it wouldn’t be a good shoot if we didn’t have some fun. Because life is too short to be serious!
Here are the final shots – would love to hear your thoughts about them!
